Bert Burger

A thorough assessment of country risk is essential in the underwriting process, especially in cases of political instability, poor security or weak external or government finances. Bert advises his colleagues at Atradius on this and participates in meetings with the Dutch State and the OECD. Before joining Atradius in 2015, Bert worked for 25 years at banks and research agencies, where he was responsible for market views and investment portfolios in turbulent times. Bert holds a Master's degree in Economic Geography and studied at University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
