New Country Manager Dubai

Press release

Amsterdam 16 April 2012 - Atradius appoints new country manager for Dubai

Leading international credit insurer, Atradius, has appointed Schuyler D’Souza as country manager for Dubai to support the company’s rapidly growing business in the Middle East through its regional partner, Arab Orient.

D’Souza takes over the position from Peter Boberg, who is moving into a new role in Atradius Nordics after being at the heart of the company’s growth and development in Dubai for the past four years.

This new appointment sees Schuyler return to Atradius in Dubai, having previously worked for the company before leaving in 2008 to take up a key post as Chief operating Officer with the government owned Export Credit Agency, where he was responsible for running the agency’s business in UAE.

Having graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce, he went on to gain a post-graduate diploma in business administration, followed by a Masters in marketing management. His early career centred on sales and business development with chemicals giant, Bayer in India and Emirates Bank International in Dubai, before originally joining Atradius in 2003.

Atradius Director of Asia and Middle East, Eric den Boogert, said: “Schuyler is taking on a key role within Atradius and he joins us at an exciting time as the volume of domestic and international trade in Dubai and the UAE means that credit insurance is often regarded as an integral part of good business practices in the region.”

He added: “We are experiencing growing demand for credit insurance and the Middle East provides us with an excellent opportunity to grow our business and our footprint with Arab Orient, and with Dubai continuing to be the hub of our operations”
